I spray paint in the kitchen floor. Don't tell me that you can't because it isn't your kitchen either. That's coward talk.

Lol, randar, I could do that, since I designed boxes for sprayin' inside, I'm not keen on the fumes...plus the garage/outside gives me a LOT more room to work with...plus for something you have to put on a pole to paint you can't exactly drill a hole in the kitchen floor....well, you can...but whatever.
Is it bad i dropped everythin' else i was doin at 7:05 to get this during class?

Maybe we should just make a float instead of coordinating costumes.

Pogo-sticks = awesome idea...LOL

A float would actually be flippin' awesome...We need a little more alliteration in the name though AJ :P
Don't blame me, I voted for Valorum!

IF, ya'll want to do a float, there are two possibilities, on a litter/sedan, or decorate a car. I think that we may need to check for permission about doing an actual car, but could do the litter.sedan without a question. Next would be the theme, design etc for the sedan throne. Does someone ride it? Steve, if he can make it. I would think that we could build the FFC Logo Cross to carry. I was thinking about someone actually dressing up to play Jesus, but that could backfire. Or Moses holding the Ten Commandments, and a sign that says: " It does not say thy shall not game!"

There are Hundreds of potential Float Themes, but I suggest we stay with one that portrays our message.

Help me jump start the discussion ya'll!

My gaming group has been discussing costuming, and basically we want to figure out what the popular theme is this year and then come up with a variation. Like a gang of Bleach Characters that are jumping sharks. (In no way is this meant to start up a debate about Bleach.)

So basically first we are looking for what will be IT at Dragoncon.

Bleach (has had a good run for several years, but may be on the way out)
Haruhi
Evangelion (new movies this year!)
There is already a Greek Mythos group.
Steampunk (gets bigger every year)
Fairies
Star Trek will be big this year (I ran across someone who is going as a Steampunk Vulcan)
Futurama (New Episodes!)
There is a group going as various urban legends.
Transformers (that would take a lot of work though)
Alice in Wonderland

After reading this list I think I would like to go as The Crushinator from Futurama.

I hope that Transformers and Alice aren't "it" this year, both the movies... eehhh...
Anyway, I know I'm not too active on the boards anymore, but, well, I know people like having their own thing going on, so maybe something simple for the parade. Like characters from old 8 or 16 bit games, they don't have alot of detail to worry about.

I actually need a new idea that I can throw together on a budget in 60-some-odd days! Alls I got are my human Alphonse from FMA (which I will probably wear until it dies), Captain Hammer and a Victorian Wonder Woman I made for last year. Sneakers would be a nice start...

Or I'll just got back to making t-shirts and dressing silly/fun/white-n-nerdy-like.

Tender, Kind, and Loving,
Truthful to the End.
This is a Recording...

If you want to do a float in 2011, I have a 6x4 trailer that I pull with either of my cars. One car is a black Miata that I plan to place a racing stripe styled cross on (a parade would motivate me to finish).

Have fun this year!

Well, I am not sure we are ready for that yet, but it is good to know someone we can contact if we get there. Floats are a lot of work, but they can be fun!
